Our Minister

DR. BRUCE MCCLURE
Minister
Brother Bruce McClure was born in West Memphis, Arkansas. Both of Brother McClure’s parents are deceased. Brother McClure has 10 siblings of which 4 are deceased. Brother McClure has been married to Sister Bernice McClure 33 years. Sister Bernice McClure is the Special Ed. Nurse in Clinton, Maryland.
Brother and Sister McClure are the parents of 4 sons – each son graduated college, 2 from graduate school and 1 with a PhD., and most of all each of their 4 sons are married in the Lord. Brother McClure has been in ministry since 1978 serving as Pulpit Minister/Professional Counselor for the communities he has ministered. In January of 2000, God used Brother McClure and 10 other families to plant The Prince George’s Church of Christ in the Largo area of Prince George’s County. Brother McClure majored in Bible at Oklahoma Christian University and later completed his doctoral degree in Marriage and Family in 1998.
Brother McClure has done extensive research on church history and congregational development. Brother McClure has lead mission teams in Trinidad and Jamaica. Brother McClure is licensed by the state of Maryland as a Clinical Professional Counselor and Nationally Board Certified as a Clinical Counselor and the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT).

Brother Byron Green
Elder
Brother Byron M Green was born in Washington,D.C. Later after his parents moved to Maryland he attended high school in Upper Marlboro, graduating in 1977. Brother Green attended Maryland University 1977-1982 studying Logistics which landed him employment with United Parcel Service ( UPS ) for 30 years 1981-2011. Brother Green retired from UPS.
Brother Green was baptized in 1983 and met Ernestine James 1985, and they were married May,1987 presently 26 yrs. The Green’s have ( 1 ) one child Miya C. Green. The Green Family have been members of the Prince George’s Church of Christ since inception over 13 years ago. Brother Green was ordained a deacon at Prince George’s Church of Christ Aug 2009 and has served with faithfulness even till the present.

Brother Anthony Wutoh
Elder
Brother Anthony K. Wutoh has been a member of the Prince Georges Church of Christ since 2003. Originally born in Accra, Ghana, he was baptized at the Central Church of Christ in Baltimore, Maryland in 1983 while a student at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. He is married to Dr. Rita Wutoh, and they are the parents of two daughters, Nadya and Niya. Brother Wutoh is a registered pharmacist & HIV researcher, and currently serves as the Dean of the College of Pharmacy and Assistant Provost for International Programs at Howard University. Brother Wutoh is a student of history, and his favorite scriptural reading is the Book of Acts, because of it’s documentation of the early church and stories of redemption. Brother and Sister Wutoh also teach the Young Adult Sunday Bible Class weekly.

Brother Robert Young
Elder
Brother Robert Young is married to Sister Yvette Young and they are the parents of two children, Albert and Nia. Brother Young has been a member of the Lord’s church since 1993, being baptized at the Huntington Church of Christ, Huntington, NY. Brother and Sister Young placed membership with the Prince George’s Church of Christ in 2000.
Brother Young is co-owner of RY3 Enterprises. Brother Young holds a B.S. Degree in Chemistry and Biology and an M.S. Degree in Engineering specializing in Technological Systems Management. Brother Young is an IT consultant and a former AIDS and cancer researcher. Brother Young has been involved with the Seniors Ministry, College Students Ministry, and Fellowship Ministry for the past 10 years. Brother Young currently serves as an Elder and has been serving in this role since 2010.

Brother Bruce E. Mosley SR.
Deacon
Bruce E. Mosley Sr. was born in Chester, Pa. Bro. Mosley is one of three children. He attended Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic School and then went on to graduate from Chester High School in 1982.
After graduation, he enlisted into the United States Navy and retired in March 2003. Brother Mosley has a BA in Business Management. Brother Mosley is a Program Manager with The Department of Defense. Brother Mosley was baptized on September 17, 1989 by William Drew of the Chester Upland Church of Christ. He is married to the former Kimberly Buckner of Chester and they have three adult children: Chantee`, Ashley, and Bruce Jr. all of Maryland and one grand-daughter, Ava.
Bro. Mosley enjoys reading, sports, and spending time with family.

Brother Ellis J. Sam
Deacon
Brother Ellis Sam is married to Tracy C Sam. They have two daughters Chasity and Kayla. Brother Sam placed membership at the Prince Georges Church in 2001. Over the years, Brother Sam routinely visits with PGCOC’s sick and shut-in members bringing smiles to their faces, praying with them, and even transporting them to doctor’s appointments and other critical life needs; serves during monthly fellowship when needed and can typically be found cleaning at the conclusion; assists in the media room to ensure service/bible study goes off without a hitch serves as a back-up for the junior and high school teachers, and can be counted on to fill-in various other areas as needed. Brother Sam is employed at Admiral Security Services and is the Assistant Operations/Portfolio Manager. Some of his favorite scriptures are Matthew 20:27 & Proverbs 16:9.

Brother James Winston
Deacon
Brother James Winston is married to Sister Michele Winston and is the father of 3 children Kelly, Kendra, and Jada. Brother Winston has been a member of the Lord’s church since 1972 where he was baptized at 16th Street Church of Christ, Washington, DC. He placed membership with Prince George’s Church of Christ in 2005. Brother Winston is a veteran of the United State Air Force. He began working for the DC Water and Sewer Authority in 2005. He is the Manager of their Human Capital Management Systems branch.
Brother Winston has been involved with the sick and shut-in ministry for the past 5 years. Brother Winston currently serves as Deacon and has been serving in this role since 2010. Brother Winston is willing to serve in whatever capacity is needed for the congregation.

Brother Paul Holzer
Deacon
Brother Paul Holzer is married to the former Valerie Buckner. They have one son, Christian Alexander.
Brother Holzer is the second oldest of four children: Mary Lou McLaughlin, the oldest; Janet Leathers
and Louis Holzer, Jr., his younger siblings. He attended South Hills Catholic High School, and graduated
from Penn State University with a B.S. degree in Computer Science. He moved to the Philadelphia area
in 1973 and began his career in information technology as a programmer. Over the years, Brother
Holzer developed skills in software testing and systems analysis, working for E.I. DuPont de Nemours
and Sun Oil Company.
While working at Sun Oil Company, Brother Holzer met his wife, Valerie, who introduced him to the
Church of Christ. Even though he was raised as a Catholic and attended the Catholic Church, he felt
there was so much more in the Bible that wasn’t taught. It wasn’t until he started attending Chester
Church of Christ with Valerie, that he began to understand the Bible and its teachings. The Holzers were
married in 1998 and moved to Mitchellville, MD in 2000.
The Holzers attended the Capital Church of Christ for five years, before coming to Prince George’s
Church of Christ in 2006. Brother McClure’s sermons and teaching led him to be baptized in 2010.
